Nick - Finance & Operations
Nick is our visionary behind the sustainable sneakers. What began as a small university project during his Master’s in Entrepreneurship in sunny Lisbon sparked into life during a course at Católica and has since grown into a mission driven by passion and purpose. With a dual degree in the banking sector and a subsequent Master’s in Entrepreneurship, he brings sharp financial skills and strategic clarity to the project. Now calling Hamburg home and working in insurance brokerage, Nick remains dedicated to fostering innovation and pushing our mission toward a greener future, one step at a time.
Ella - Product & Sourcing
Ella infuses our team with a fresh perspective on innovation. After completing an LL.M. in Milan, she lives in Berlin now and is in the final stages of her legal education. Besides that Ella was actively engaged with the Legal Tech Association of Germany. Her international background and interest in innovation and responsible production shape the perspective she brings to our journey. With a clear and structured approach, she focuses on responsible materials, thoughtful sourcing processes, and contributing to our marketing efforts. In her role at OCEAN KICKS, Ella plays an essential part in developing our products, supporting communication, and keeping our work aligned with our values.
Jule - Marketing & Sales
Jule completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in Maastricht and, after graduating, dedicated herself fully to OCEAN KICKS before beginning her Master’s in Management in Lisbon. Being back in Portugal and close to both the origins of our project and our production in Porto gives her direct insight into the development of our sneakers and also the people behind it. With her international experience and long-standing interest in sustainable fashion, Jule is responsible for Marketing & Sales and helps helps strengthen the connection between our story, our products, and our community.
